Message	Yes the flywheels steps down 0.008" at the outer edge, making the mating surface for the pressure plate lower than the contacting surface. I'm not sure about the distance specs that you gave, correct me if I'm wrong, but I'd care to guess that different brands of pressure plates vary in travel, depending on stiffness / holding power of the pressure plate, and the condition of the hydraulic system in your Z.
